What inspires you most when you're creating your art?
Creativity and inspiration come from doing and sharing. I love to share what I have learned not only as a professional artist but also as a teacher. Making art videos and helping others pursue and develop their passion for art is one of my most favorite ways of giving back.

Can you describe your artistic process, from the initial idea to the finished piece?
My first step is working from nature. Observing and experiencing its colors and temperment. Then heading to the studio and designing the forms and creating a picture that engages and moves me and gives me pleasue.
What do you hope people feel or experience when they view your artwork?
I hope to see them moved by something in the painting that is personal to them.
What's one piece of advice you'd give to someone who wants to explore their own creativity?
Study the great artists and learn what they have to teach us. That is how to start exploring your personal creativity. Then start learning the skills they demonstrated to make their art last through the ages.
